Exhibits: browse reviewed evidence by tag folders
Upload and Review are where evidence is staged and dates are confirmed. Exhibits is where the team browses what has already hardened — the files tied to reviewed timeline events, organized the way litigators already think: by issue tags.
In the app nav it is labeled Exhibits (route /files). It is not a second copy of the case corpus and not a Dropbox dump of every raw upload.
What counts as an exhibit here
Exhibits lists media that is linked to timeline events whose review status is reviewed. Drafts, not-reviewed AI cards, and uploads that were never pinned to an approved event stay on Upload and Review until someone finishes that work.
That split is deliberate. A folder of “everything that hit the server” is not the same as “what we are prepared to treat as on the chronology.”
Tags as folders
Case tags become folders. Each folder shows how many exhibits and (where available) total bytes. One media file still lives once in the case; if it is tagged under more than one issue, it can appear under more than one folder without duplicating storage.
Folder lists can surface who has access when tag-scoped experts are in play — so you can see whether a narrow grant can see that slice. Everything remains inside the active case; switching cases switches the whole Exhibits tree.

How it fits the rest of the product
Typical path: Upload → pipeline (metadata, transcript, draft) → Review (real dates, people, approve) → Exhibits for day-to-day browsing and handoff. Timeline and Calendar remain the chronology; Search still finds transcript and event text; Exhibits is the file-first shelf of what survived review.
ICS subscribe and import deal in dated events, not this folder UI. Vault export (CaseAdmin) is the bulk offline path when you need markdown outside the product.
Walk one folder
Approve a small set of drafts with tags on the events, open Exhibits, and switch between All exhibits and a tag folder. Use list vs grid and open a preview to confirm you are looking at the reviewed file, not a leftover upload.
